6.1 MW Ground Racking Install

O’Fallon Renewable Energy Center

Ameren Missouri’s O’Fallon Renewable Energy Center is multi-million dollar, 6.1 MW Solar Energy facility on a 19 acre site adjacent to the utilities’ Belleau substation in St. Charles County. The project features more than 20,000 solar panels, mounted in Powers Solar Frames ground mount components. The project will generate enough electricity to power some 650 average size homes in the St. Louis area.

Ameren Missouri, a St. Louis based corporation that is among the nation’s largest investor-owned electric and gas utilities, selected MC Industrial, an independent McCarthy company, to manage the design and construction of the state’s largest investor-owned solar energy center. Together, Ameren Missouri and MC Industrial awarded Powers Solar Frames the contract to provide the Ground Mount racking components for the project.

In discussing their involvement, Powers Solar Frames, Vice President, John Powers said, “We are excited to have the opportunity to provide our Solar Frames for this significant project for the St. Louis region. We look forward to working with MC Industrial and Ameren Missouri, as the construction begins and the project comes to fruition.”
